The Roadster was the first car Tesla built, proving that electric cars could be fun. The
new Roadster aims to show they can compete with the fastest cars on Earth. Powered by three motors linked to a massive 200 kWh battery pack, it goes from 0-60 in 1.9 seconds, can hit
100 mph in just 4.2, and has a top speed of over 250. All while achieving a truly unprecedented
range of 620 miles. The exterior is both sleeker and more aggressive than the company's current lineup, yet still identifiable as a Tesla, while the interior has a 2+2 arrangement, with a racing-inspired rectangular steering wheel, a single display integrated into the center console, and a Targa-like roof that can be stored in the trunk. Rollouts begin in 2020, and if you want yours first, you'll have to pony up a
$250,000 deposit to reserve a Founder's Series model, which include the first 1,000 cars off the line.
