Google does not sell AdWords for 'explicit porn' keywords (for paysites and others).

So, there is no money motivation here -- maybe government pressure to censor?

Thanks Vatican???
possibly :-)

thommy -- other European countries have the normal SERPs then?
well the others are "normal" in regards to the changes google made in september.

germany´s first page i.e. is a mix of hardcore sites and wikipedia and "help for porn addicted people"

but here ALL is porn when it comes to an exacter search.
i.e. porno videos brings only porn (same as in italy)

the real funny part is that italian language is the only one what reacts on ALL TLDs

i am pretty sure if you search now on your standard google and change the settings in google to language italian you will see nothing as long as you use "unsharp" keys (i do not have a better definition - I gave that issue the name "unsharp" years ago because of exactly that problem).

Google reported a few weeks ago that they now deliver ALWAYS the content for a user based on his IP location. here seems to be a bug in Italy (because it reacts on the language instead of the localtion) or some very strange compromise with the italian government.

nexus: can you try to search from italy in google.it and change the language setting (in google) to another ?

I am not sure if my VPN is not known at google and wonder what results you will see when you accept other then italian language.
