Italy is a small country but sure not the most stupid like Nigeria and Belize, it is a country with normal government and normal law, so nothing different than can be in France or Germany or Belgium or UK,.
PORNO till 2 days ago was meaning PORNO CONTENT and be listed on first page for that word was meaning to be on top of main italian porn sites. I worked hard to be listed also there and i was on the first page some time third position some other in the middle, some other at bottom of the page.
So this just to tell that if i'm telling something strange is going on i tell because i have element to tell. I cheke that word from years, and in 17 years it was always synonymous of porn. Considering the bounce rate fro mthat keyword documented on GA, people was looking really for porn when they was searching PORNO.
Now i post it here and the only tuype of reply are stupid observation and people are speaking me like i'm a child that just started working on and doesnt know how is life,m rules and so on....
Really surprised to see only so stupid reply in here... All webmaster i spoke notice this and you are just sable to reply like i'm stupid...

as the last poster said - you look this things from YOUR VIEW - if not you would mention the changes in semantic search years ago.
i do that biz now nearly 21 years and as Germany was the country with the most rules from the start on I also saw that nearly all searchengine is blocking porn there except google.
as you said: Italy is a small country and Google does not deal with Italy alone. They try to regulate that within the EU to have some kind of "standard".
I think it will even get harder in January when the new Chrome browser comes out and includes a lot of new features - also child protection features.
but one thing is sure: users what want to see porn will find it. they will learn how to use Google in a way that they will see it (as they always did).
These are the things you have to deal with when you are in porn. When you are 17 years in the biz you should already know that.
