I just crossed border with former USSR (UKR) and its like time machine here. There are prolly few modern places on the east (Moscow, St. Piter ?), but for me anything east to that border and maybe particularly east to Kiev ? not sure... is a combination of cold, endless space, mud, steppes and COLD again...and some soviet factories...Also, some beautiful girls and *some* smart people. Last two I may be interested in (they may come to Europe for example) , the rest - why ? what for ? I leave mud, endless cold and endless space and endless steppes for the people that live there
