You are! Presidents have appointed (ok named, nominated, determined, or whatever semantics you want to use) every supreme court judge in history along with federal judges as well. Not to mention the chairman and the seven members of the board of governors of the federal reserve, the attorney general, the secretaries of energy, agriculture, transportation, etc. But i suppose you think none of these and many other organizations have much influence over domestic issues. And to say he makes no laws is only technically true, ever heard of executive orders? And again, if his party has a majority of congress he gets pretty much what he asks for doesnt he? You can talk about all these technicalities like how the congress has to approve etc. But the reality is that the president has enormous influence and power over domestic issues. In many ways it may be indirect, but its there nevertheless. Spin it any way you want but what you said is just foolish.
