Tell this to the killed people. Just FYI: in my country it takes about two weeks to get a permission for firearms, after that you can officially buy a shotgun or even AK47 (a semi-automatic version). How often you hear about mass shooting incidents in Russia? You don't, because... we don't have them here.

Fortunately I don't live in Somalia where a 8 year old can buy a gun. I lived in Soviet Union and I started a firearm shooting practice when I was 9 year old (in my country you absolutely don't need to buy a gun to get shooting skills). It was
.22LR MCM. After that it was
TOZ-8, then
.380 PM and course AK47 and AK74. So you are not a special one. We had an access to the guns from young years too.
