Why is it we never hear of scandals that these politicians were in until after they are elected.
While I hate to bring it up, but, it is a clear example since the general public knew nothing of the Russian Money laundering of Trump by the Federal Government until after he was elected. Many still do not know of it and it is public record of the DOJ and other federal & state courts. Multiple instances.
No wonder people now think it is just fake news. Go Figure.
