this is true, the Internet somehow has made porn ok for many people, before the Net if a guy/girl admitted to being a porn consumer it conjured up images of the guy trolling the dirty magazinze/video emporium, bringing it back home in a plain brown wrapper, hiding it from his family. When the Web became a big deal porn was everywhere, at home and at the office, everybody began to freely admit they look at porn on the Web, it allows people to admit they view and enjoy porn while passing it off as something of a joke or something they just came across on their surfing travels.

Cronin agrees that what he calls the "Web-ification of pornography" has not only increased demand, but also made the hard stuff more acceptable. "We know millions of Americans every day are looking at porn on the Web," he says. And the privacy of that experience, he adds, "may remove some of the social inhibitions.".
