Heard a story once about how some Russian guy in history would conquer all these other nations in Europe and Asia. Alexander the Great? Can't remember.
And he'd take the hottest women from all these conquered nations back to Russia with him. IDK if they were for himself. Or if they were traded around as currency, deal incentives, or whatever. Maybe all the above. Needless to say, all these women were "bred" quite extensively. I think there may have even been a movie about this once.
And that's why (as the story goes) to this day, that general area of eastern Russia and Ukraine has one of the highest concentrations of drop-dead gorgeous women anywhere in the world.
I'm sure someone more knowledgeable in history can chime in and tell the story much better.
