Look at it this way,
Hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people, were convinced that Hillary had some kind of CP thing going on in a Pizza Parlour (Pizzagate), among other things.
Someone out there, treated everyone like the idiots that they are, and walked right over them.
If this isn't talked. If people do nothing at all, the same thing can happen again.
And, there's no reason at all why it would be Trump or another republican that could do it.
