Our intelligence community discovered a head of state from a foreign country sneaked into the country to have secret meetings with multiple US citizens. Of course the people involved were unmasked; It would have been a crime not to. Our government needed to know what was going on.
The Republican party is trying to make this out as something illegal was done. This is not the case at all. The US government didn't say "Let's investigate the Trump staff" but instead they were investigating why a foreign head of state entered the country without notifying the US Government. The investigation lead directly back to the Trump campaign.
Rice gave her testimony, and the Republicans can do nothing about it. There are not going to be any charges; No laws were broken.
