The threat was just implied -- what did President Kennedy do? Embargo Cuba and threaten Russian shipping into Cuba.
We could blow up the rail lines and bridges into North Korea. What are they going to do -- commit suicide and attack Seoul? If China and Russia will not intervene to maintain as least the status quo ... Then either they have no will nor balls or they are in acquiescence.

North Korea and Cuba are very similar, although Cuba was much closer and North Korea is more threatening. Our treatment of both has been about the same - treat them like enemies and hope nothing happens. Well, fifty years later and nothing has changed. We can continue the same shit with North Korea and... nothing will change.
What we need is a leader who can do something different. And clearly Trump is not a leader.
