A firm based in Dublin which collects subscriptions from users of a global porn empire clocked up revenues of $427.17 million over two years.
MG Billing Ireland Ltd, a subsidiary of Mindgeek, a Canadian firm that counts Pornhub, Youporn, Redtube and tube8 among its porn sites, clocked up average daily revenues of $585,000 each day in 2015 and 2014.
New accounts showed that pre-tax profits increased by 8.5 per cent to $3.39 million in 2015. Revenues jumped by 20 per cent from $193.38 million in 2014 to $233.79 million in 2015.
The company directors said they considered the result for the year to be satisfactory. They said that the firm will continue to manage these revenues and the costs for other operating companies within the group.
The accounts show that in spite of the large revenues generated in 2015, the amount in corporation tax paid by the firm was only $145,301. This was a result of the combatively low profits that arose from high cost of sales.
The accounts disclosed that in February the firm relocated its control management away from Ireland.
