What was he guilty of, stopping poor Latinos and asking them to prove they are legal. In a State with a high % of Latino illegals.
He was using common sense and being a detective. What was he meant to do stop Anglo Saxons and Blacks and ask them the same?
Stupid judge. The Sheriff might be racist but not for doing his job.
