Baylor Coach Told Players To Lie about Murdered Player To Cover Up Rules Violations

NEWSFLASH: College Sports is as corrupt as the pro game!

Baylor Players Told to Lie About Dennehy - Report

HOUSTON (Reuters) - Former Baylor University basketball coach Dave Bliss, seeking to cover up rule violations, urged players to falsely tell investigators that slain teammate Patrick Dennehy dealt drugs to pay his tuition, newspapers reported on Saturday.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram said Bliss made the statements in conversations on July 30, 31, and Aug. 1. They were secretly recorded by Baylor assistant coach Abar Rouse, who gave the paper the audiotapes and said he opposed the plan.

......

"What we've got to create here is drugs," Bliss reportedly said on the tapes.

"I think the thing we want to do -- and you want to think about this -- if there's a way we can create the perception that Pat may have been a dealer ... that can save us," he told two players.
