The signs around the memorial have stars of David and clearly state Jewish Holocaust Memorial. He knew what he was doing. But as outraged as Jews are, destruction of property isn't a major offense. They'll try to prosecute for a hate crime. His lawyer will argue the same as you -- he had no clue what it was. I did a little research into former arrests but nothing so far
