First we went to the store got water and candles and then went home to realize we forgot the most important thing... BEER! So it was back out on a beer run. Everyone in the neighborhood was hanging out on their stoop drinking and hanging out and we just had a big party. Then when it got dark we brought out the candles. Eventually we had a whole band out there playing tunes for everyone... a trumpet player, a mandolin, a guitar and some percussion. It's nice how something like this brings everyone together.
The lights went on here this morning... but we just got back online. It was fun while it lasted but I'm glad to be back.

Lucky you!! When our lights went out we had to try to entertain a 3 year old with no tv and no lights (our son is visiting relatives so he was ok), and NOBODY knew wtf.. In a small town like this one, when all the radio stations just DIE, it generally gets ugly
