Terrorism and street crime are not comparable really. Weapon of choice maybe.
I never thought of being stabbed with a knife or shot with a gun in the grocery store. I never thought that jet airplanes would be crashed into buildings nor large trucks (lorries) would be used to massacre people on the sidewalk. I don't think banning knives, jet planes or delivery trucks would be a good idea.
