I think we're just used to the industry. Me personally, I would have been annoyed about being groped during a flight, but definitely not scarred for life. Unwanted sexual advances happen, you just remove yourself from the situation and move on. But people in the "normal" world are a lot more sensitive to this. I'm not sure if it's better or worse that they are.
