Hillary Clinton was center right and won the vote by over 3 million so Democrats were smart to run a center right candidate last election and they'll be smart to run a center right the next election, all things being equal.
It's too soon for Tulsi Gabbard, she's also in Hawaii which Republicans currently associate with Obama, "out their" liberals and people out of touch with the needs of mainladers in middle America.
