What's autotrac? The escalade has stability control, and traction control.
Either way, cool truck man

autotrac is a control system that senses when one tire slips and sends power to the others. it allows you to drive in 2WD but engages 4WD whenever needed - saves feul economy. not a big cost concern but allwos me to make less trips to the gas station which wastes time. similar to traction control in some ways but better for fuel economy. i can choose between autotrac, 2WD, 4H and 4 low (electronically)
i didn't realize that the escalade had actual body part on the back piece. i thought it was plastic too. had avalance not come out with trucks that had no plastic on the sides I would have bought an escalade.
i forgot about the stability control, avalance doesn't have it. I didn't really notice a difference though on my test drives with and without it . If i remember right you have a little wood on your dash too that the avalance doesn't have.
the escalade is definatly a step up. I just couldn't understand why they put in full time 4wd instead of autotrac. seemed STUPID to me. with autotrac I probally would have bought the escalade.
( iwas teasing brad shaw about the payments - not you)
