Do I believe the United States owns reparations to slave descendants? No.
While slavery was a horrible injustice, it was a widely accepted practice around the world. The United States was only engaged in this practice for a short period of time, we had the civil war because of it, and the United States was one of the first countries to free it's slaves and outlaw the practice. You can also argue any Americans who are descendants of slaves have much higher quality of life, etc. You can argue any Americans who are descendants of slaves owe the United States government for freeing them and then giving them a higher quality of life.
However, if they insist, we can pay them reparations. We'll give each one of them $10k. However, they will need to renounce their American citizenship, leave the country, and never ever return.
