most of the world is shady, Thais are at least friendly, hospitable and buddhist ;-) and Thailand is a place where you wont freeze to death never :P
not sure though what would you expect from a country where average salary is like 200-300 euros and people believe in ghosts :-) ?
still charming place though....
Italy sounds like burreacratic disaster for me, but also charming place with great food and prolly nice people - the more south, the more friendly probably
