Unfortunately that is how most people feel and look what that apathetic attitude has resulted in ... the continued lowering of standards and the decline in the quality of leadership in the United States.
Rather than passively accepting that "they're all assholes" why not raise the bar and your expectations of those who govern and made decisions that effect your life?
