NameCheap is more expensive than everyone, that's part of why I'm transferring all domains back to GoDaddy.
Since
selling off Enom to TuCows in January NameCheap has to make a big profit quick to remain a public company.

Maybe the new strategy is their current ripoff $10.69 renewals with no coupons available and taking domains earlier than the old 27 day grace period and charging the $200 ransom fee after 5 days or 10 days?
