When I learned how much vets charge for their services, I decided not to have pets (although I love dogs). Along side with other reasons though - not having time to do daily walks and caring about hairs all over the room etc etc.
I do not spend that much on myself as how much some people pay to vets for fixing their ill pets. Rip off, imho.
