Believe it or not, some, and I would dare say most of the soldiers that are over there, are there because they want to be. It is their job, it is what they want to do with their lives, they actually love it. I have great respect for these men. The ones bitching and whining about it are the ones that joined for eductation money, to run away from their problems, or because they just couldn't do anything else. There is great honor in the first type of soldier I mentioned, and I will always support these men.
Amen. I'm an Airforce bratt and grew up all over the world. In Belgium my mother's office was bombed back in the 80's and we spent 2 1/2 years thereafter. When we moved to Germany there were two terrorist attempts against the base we lived on and stayed there for another 2 1/2 years. This is only five years of my life in foreign countries, not just one.

Americans are always under attack because of our beliefs. Just because our people are in Iraq just galvinizes the fact that we are hated and in danger.

I've even been jumped in bars in Japan by New Zealanders, Arabs, and more just because they found out that I'm an American.

I've known Americans that travel under the guise of being 'Canadian' so that they don't recieve similar 'hospitality.' I've never needed to hide because I'm proud of who I am.

If I had joined the armed services I would do my job and my duties without complaint like my father did all 27 years he served while our family was in danger and in so called 'friendly' countries.

Just my
