Everybody is different in their home life. For years I ended everyday with a short story & kiss my son's forehead or cheek. He's grown out of that now a long time ago. I wouldn't kiss in front of my son or public, I'm private like that and it would feel forced and uncomfortable for me. When I was dropped off at the group home as a kid (orphanage) I told myself that when I have kids I'm going to be the father I never had and give them the life and stability I never had. I've done that. I could die tomorrow content with the life I've created for my son & myself. I'm happy to have raised a human being that won't hate & judge others so easily because I've lived a good life by example, not perfect but good enough. You are the same to your children, not perfect, but good enough.

Their is no setting in the mammal world, in civilized society, or the wilds of the Congo, where the majority are able to raise offspring with 2 biological parents until adulthood. Lots of death, dislication, etc.
I think if our societies don't adapt to reality, accepting & embracing it, even the seemingly odd & less desireable of us (pornographers), then we are on the wrong side of history and need to push forward and be fair to all our fellow citizens, not pretend we are more or less than them because deep down we know this is not true.
