They did that because they were running almost all higher educational institutions and banging systems and their' main source of income was usury since they could not own land since the middle ages. They were prosecuted ever since the fall of the second temple and second purge after the moors were kicked out from Spain about ~500 years ago. They have ever since evolved a solid survival defense system and work closely together. Hitler felt the native Germans were being marginalized in their own land and took action.
Had the Germans denied them entry when they came in from Iberia, they wouldn't win any noble prices, would they? Again go back to my original post about western thought, education (almost all inventions)and of course the nascent futility!!!
