Snowden was the rare oddity that fell into wikileaks lap, just like Manning was, but being actual leaks with lots of dirt. I don't think Russia or anyone else was behind Snowden's leak. Wikileaks & Russia benefited from it by happenstance because what's bad for the US is good for Russia.
