I never had an interest in those but that sounds horrible. I have a feeling that the correlation of the kidney injuries is the fact that people don't precondition correctly or build up the endurance slowly. I think a lot of people can just will their way through a marathon but to be truly prepared for one takes a lot of work and a slow build up to it.

Barbell complexes give me my endurance. Running is for suckers and bicep curls are overrated.
I can post a pic of what "not training for anything ever" looks like.
