I don't think that Bernie Sanders paying 13.9% in taxes is going to cause the return of slavery as you insinuated.
Yes, if you are going to proclaim yourself a socialist and demand that people who produce pay for people who don't...then you might want to NOT take excessive deductions and instead give ALL of your money to the govt.
But he didn't do that.

I've only seen my own. And I really don't care about anyone else's. But I do know that nobody with half a brain wants to pay MORE in taxes than they absolutely have to.
I'd rather keep the money I earned and spend it on my family. I don't mind paying in, but not one penny more than I have to.
On that...Bernie Sanders and I are in lockstep agreement.
