Taxation is fundamental to Democratic Socialism.
But every-time we give the very well to do a tax break in the promise of jobs, we get less jobs and are asked to pay more for Military and subsidies to corporate farming. Socialism works very well for the corporate world but not for me.
I pay for the roads they use to ship their products around and the military to defend their bad deeds overseas. |
Number one...not sure what you said in your first sentence has anything to do with Sanders writing off his lunches and deducting everything he possibly could to keep his taxes down.
Especially when he wants to tax all of us MORE and pay for everyone to go to college for free and go to the doctor for free.
And if you are paying more than 25%...then you must have no deductions and no dependents..or a really bad accountant.
I've paid a lot of money in taxes over the years...but I've never, EVER paid 25%. I couldn't even imagine writing a check to the Feds for 1/4 of everything I made.
Don't get me wrong...with sales tax, property tax, FICA, etc. etc. I pay way more than 50% in different ways to different Federal, State, and local taxes.
But to the IRS? Hell no. You need a new accountant....or stop doing your taxes at H & R Block.
