You were implying that the anti-Trump ad nauseum coverage was drawing in viewers and making them money. I was just pointing out that "no", it's doing the opposite.
I would admire them if it was making them money.  I always look up to success.

The anti-Trump stuff seemed to have worked for them during the election (although, admittedly, all the news networks saw their ratings go up during the election) but their ratings have slumped since the election. To me, this means one of three things is likely true.
1. They simply aren't sure what to do. Just reporting the news doesn't draw in ratings so they have to have a slant and they haven't figured one out yet that can help them increase their ratings.
2. They don't care about making money and are just pushing their agenda.
3. They think they are doing the right thing and that if they just stick with it the ratings will eventually come.
I guess there could be combinations of those as well.
All I was trying to say is that CNN is a business, perhaps a poorly run one with an agenda, but still a business and they are not the CIA as the OP implies.
