Well, it is even worse. The law in Turkey, signed by Erdogan, forbids campaigning in other countries. But he needs the votes outside Turkey for his referendum so he can become the new Sultan.
And the minister knew he wasn't welcome and lied to the Dutch President that he wasn't coming, while he was posting on facebook that he would give a speech and asked everyone to join. Than 2 or 3 convoys came from germany trying to mislead the police that wanted them to stop. In the end she get captured in Rotterdam near the Turkish consulate. The special forces took her out of the car, cause they where also afraid of a gunfight with the Turkish bodyguards.
A lot of countries don't like it and protest against it. Some countries protest more than the others or just turn a blind eye. Saying Erdogan is a dictator, but not doing anything about it. But i am sure this his a lot to do with the Dutch elections. The Dutch government had intelligence that this was the Turkish plan and prepared.
