You are demonstrating the benefits of determination and patience.

I'm applying Leonard's concept of Mastery to making money, working out and being a parent and what a difference!
The biggest difference in my thinking is the sense of calm and contentment day to day especially when something happens that previously would feel like a negative to my goals.
As Leonard puts it, I am learning to "appreciate the plateaus" whereas before I may have felt discouraged when I didn't see constant advancement.
Mastery involves enjoying the process whether you are experiencing a peak or plateau.
