Amazon S3 is good (even yesterday they had the biggest downtime ever but still they rock)... There are also lots of alternatives like Google Cloud Storage, Windows Azure Storage, Rackspace...

In case of S3 all you need to do is install a software that will mount your S3 bucket to a folder on your system, for eg: /backup and then just make rsync at some time to copy sync your folders with backup and make the db backups to backup folder and you're done. They charge based on usage (typically 3cents per GB/month).

Then there are also dedicated tools that will backup whole servers but that's another story and these will cost a lot more...

Depends on what do you want to backup and how secure does it has to be... Dropbox is the best option and it's way much better than Google Drive for example. If you don't want to pay it year after a year you can just get an external drive and backup what you need every now and then.
