Ironic that you want to remain anonymous online while still having a voice online but claim others doing so through the media are invalid, when they have more to lose than you.
Trump tweeted anonymous sources for years backing his conspiracy theories, search his twitter! Yet now, the media can't protect their sources from harm, but it's ok for Trump.
Trump claims 3 million people voted illegally. You never complain about his lack of sources.
So many things Trump claims with no proof and you never complain. But the media's anonymous sources are a crime against humanity.  |
I don't know how i could have stated things any clearer. I certainly wasn't comparing CNN to a search engine or myself posting on a forum to BBC or comparing anyone who's not a news outlet or journalist to anyone who's not.
Again, i was commenting on the state of the media today and what passes for "news" when its not actual journalism but simple click bait. Unsubstantiated, unproven, unsupported hearsay BEING STATED AS FACT... then being repeated and reported as "fact" when its absolutely not fact. Not using common language of the past such as "allegedly", not "according to witnesses", not "purportedly", not "in my opinion", not "unconfirmed" and no "Homeland Security officials did not comment on..." etc etc etc etc etc as has always been how such news is reported in the past.
And again, you make it a Republican/Democrat, Trump/Anti-Trump thing and that has nothing to do with anything i was saying.
Additionally, I am not CNN or BBC or MSNBC or Fox or anyone else passing off my rambling shitty thoughts as "news" and my opinions as "fact" to many millions of people world wide. I am just a dickhead on a forum.
