Unfortunately they won't do much time. 50% of the sentence is automatically cut due to inmate overcrowding. Then they get out early on good behavior.
Not to mention there are bleeding heart liberal judges in Chicago that like to let arrested criminals simply walk. There was a case recently where a thug stabbed a victim, but the judge ruled there was no probable cause for the trial and he walked out the front door. One week later he was arrested for stabbing another victim. Chicago doesn't have a crime problem. They have a sentencing problem.
Obama got in the way of private prison expansion and Illinois couldn't afford to expand public prisons. Trump has signaled that private prisons will expand. The uncomfortable fact (for liberals) is that when the prison population goes up, the crime on the outside goes down. There are thousands of dindus in Chicago that need to be put behind bars where they belong.
