The framers of the US constitution envisioned a multi party political system -- 3 or more political parties -- that was the intent.
Democracy is 2 wolves and 1 sheep deciding who is going to be served for dinner.
In its history the only time any new party has been successful was ascending to the status of a new 2nd party. Whigs becoming replaced by the Republican Party as an example.
By contrast many countries parliaments consist of many political parties.
In the end one party rules.
The Electoral College has become a battle ground of states rights and not peoples' rights. It was never created to repress the peasants. That's typical 'commie' idiocy. The average US welfare benefit is more that an average Russian wage -- who's a fucking peasant.
