Heavy Rainfall Can Cause Huge Earthquakes

Whether or not the rain in California will trigger "the big one" or not is anyone's guess. All I'm saying is I would find it very hard to believe that loading a land mass in a short time (days or weeks) with an abnormally large load of rain has no measurable seismic effects.
