This guy was not a journalist. He was a KGB spy. Nobody knows who exactly has poisoned him an why. He has worked for Berezovsky whose "friends" are used to die in a mysterious manner and usually in the UK... E.g.:
Badri Patarkatsishvili. The businessman has visited Berezovsky and oops, he died at home of a strange heart attack.
