This is what I've been saying about the power companies and oil companies. They need to retool themselves yesterday. The power company here in my area is PG&E, and they are in a shitty position. They have to plan out power plants years in advance and anticipate power needs to for the entire state. We had a huge problem in the late 1990s when they physically could not produce enough power for us. Now more and more people are getting solar power, and power needs are dropping rapidly. They will need to scale back on power production. Eventually there will be little need for power plants - everyone will have solar power.

Same thing with the oil companies. Eventually we will all have electric cars running off of solar power. If they do not invest in something else they will not exist fifty years from now.
They are trying to stop solar by funding republicans. Its the logic of idiotarcy instead of advancing they want to hold us back for their profits.

It would be like trying to stop coal in the 1800s to keep steam...
