The word Nigga has become a part of everyday vernacular. I think what's important is to look at the motiviation or context in which the word is used. To say that you don't recognize differences in people of a different race is unrealistic. Sure, in your tiny circle of young pups it may be ok. Just be careful when you get out of high school. (J/K) You may find out it's not so acceptable still yet.
I do agree with you that that is how it should be for the most part. I would be happier if everyone quit thinking of skin color as a reasonable judge of character though.
