remember that up until not too long ago homosexuality was listed in the dsm
while it appears that trump meets the criteria to fit the label, I'd argue his personality is a rational response to his lived experience. this is why I don't see narcissism as a 'disorder' and I don't think that it should even be listed in the dsm
he grew up rich and white and ran in circles that mirrored his privilege and entitlements. he's also clearly obsessed with fame but I think that half the peeps in america have that 'condition' now. what sort of person would he grow up to be? a generous, empathic, wise man who respected others?
we're all fucked in the head, there is no 'normal'. some of us aren't unethical, ignorant assholes who revel in their lack of wisdom though, that's absolutely a choice.
