Drop the liberal tainted blindfold and see reality.
Muslims have to abide by Sharia law as interpreted by their religious leaders. It's as ingrain into them as Mormon's, Amish, Orthodox Jews, etc.
Ask your Muslim friends to eat bacon, marry outside their religion, allow the children to date, women not cover their hair, wear a mini skirt, etc. It all depends on the extent of their religion if they follow rules laid down 1400 years ago and more applicable to a nomadic desert living than living in the modern world.
So far, Christians, Athiest etc. Have failed to stop Sharia law by Muslims in the West. Some countries are trying by banning the Burka. Another outdated law to protect Muslim Women from Muslim Men.
