Apparently she had a fucked up family. Her mother was a drug addict, her stepdad beat her up and abused her. She just had no escape out of a shithole. No lifeline to hang on to.

Sad as fuck, makes me wish I could do something to rescue someone like that, but I'm a single guy so, adoption is kind of out of the picture because they don't trust single men to raise a kid, they suspect them all of being child abusers.

I know what you mean about being a single male and not being able to work with youth without suspicion it sucks. I have a lot of experience going through the system as a kid for similar reasons as this girl and I'd love to mentor others going through similar things but it's not in the cards it seems.

I read about this girl a couple days ago and watched the video ( stopped before the actual hanging, before she stepped off ) Then I watched a few of her Youtube videos and just felt overwhelming sadness for this girl. I didn't post anything about it here as I didn't feel this was the appropriate place.

She had such an open bright spirit just wanting to express and share it's just so sad she wasn't one of the lucky ones to be saved.
