Hmm catch 22. Some people such as myself have insurance and never use it, others abuse it and some need it. So it's a touchy subject. One thing for sure is that the current "foundation" is crumbling because only those who need and abuse are taking advantage of it. Forcing those who don't need or abuse it to not only pay but over pay to compensate for the other two isn't going to work at least by current law anyway. The only thing that will drive the prices down is competition. The way it currently is it's state by state with the insurance companies. If this is eliminated and companies have to compete all across the US then it changes a lot.. Each and every individuals business is sought to increase their bottom line. Not 1, 2, or 3 companies controlling the market.
