Because the illegals flood across the boarder and vote democrat. You're right. It's pure insanity that you don't need an ID or proof of citizenship to participate in the most important aspect of being a citizen.
When Replublicans tried to push for voter IDs, Democrats (and particularly on this board) argued until they were blue in the face that voter fraud just doesn't happen... where studies have shown that voter fraud is a very serious problem across all states. But its a problem that only benefits one side.
What do crocketts argue? Like Democrats - they are forced to argue the very awkward position that obtaining any form of government ID places a burden on blacks and Mexicans. Thats the truly insane part of that ID argument... that Democrats just can't expect a black or Mexican to get a simple ID card..
