Where you run into trouble is hiring shady all languages in one shops who cannot properly test their translators. So, someone creates a fake name, fake photo even and sells themselves 180 times over as "native translators" when in fact they are somebody using an electronic translation site.
We translate Japanese and English sites, contents, novels, games, and anime and see it all the time with new clients who have just been fucked.
That's why we offer to check people's sites for free and tell them exactly what they have gotten.

You mention electronic translation sites & I completely understand what you mean. One night, our Spanish friend sat here with us while we translated everything we were saying through google translate for the fun of it...
holy crap, some of the translations to the sentences is just ridiculous to put it mildly
